A governorship aspirant in Rivers State from Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Blessing Fubara Snr, has obtained the governorship nomination form of the National Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general election after defecting from the All Progressives Congress.
Fubara, who recently dumped the APC for the NDC, made the declaration shortly after obtaining the party’s governorship form.
In a statement issued after picking up the form, the governorship hopeful pledged to serve only one term if elected governor of Rivers State in 2027.
He also promised to run an all-inclusive administration aimed at restoring and rebuilding the state, stressing the need to “save and restore the soul of Rivers State.”
Fubara further called on youths across the state to rise and support his ambition, assuring that his administration would focus on transformation and development.
According to him, the support of young people would be critical in achieving his vision for the state.
