Four members of the House of Representatives from Kano State have announced their defection from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The lawmakers made their decision known on the floor of the Green Chamber during plenary, signaling a shift in political alignment within the lower legislative body.
The defecting lawmakers are Sani Wakili, representing Minjibir/Ungogo Federal Constituency; Muktar Umar Zakari, representing Tarauni Federal Constituency; Umar Datti, representing Kura/Madobi/Garun Mallam Federal Constituency; and Abdulhakeem Ado, representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency.
Their defection adds to the growing political realignments ahead of future electoral cycles, with the ADC continuing to attract members from other parties.
