The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Edo State, where he was warmly received by Governor Godwin Obaseki and former Governor and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole.
Wike’s visit comes at the invitation of Governor Obaseki to formally hand over 54 construction equipment to the 18 local government areas (LGAs) in Edo State.
The fleet includes graders, excavators, rollers, and other heavy-duty machinery.
The equipment is expected to strengthen road construction initiatives, rural access projects, drainage rehabilitation, and other community-driven infrastructure works across the state, aiming to enhance local development and improve residents’ quality of life.
Officials noted that this intervention is part of ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure and create sustainable economic opportunities in Edo State
