President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, depart Abuja for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States, where he is expected to commission projects and attend political rallies.
The President will begin the visit in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he will commission several projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.
The projects include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.
Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which traverses Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom, as well as the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre and ARISE Palm Resort.
President Tinubu is also scheduled to attend a political rally in the state, while Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to facilitate a befitting reception for the President.
On Saturday, the President will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.
The rally will be his third since he flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
According to the statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visits will also provide the President an opportunity to engage with political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while emphasising unity, political stability and a shared commitment to national progress.
