Veteran Nigerian comedian AY Makun has announced the postponement of the AY Live Warri comedy show earlier scheduled to hold on June 12, 2026.
In a statement released by the organisers, the decision was attributed to the prevailing security challenges and uncertainty affecting many Nigerians across the country.
The organisers said the postponement was made after careful consideration, stressing the need to stand in solidarity with families affected by insecurity while also prioritising the safety of attendees, supporters and stakeholders.
“With a heavy heart, we have decided to postpone AY Live Warri, scheduled for 12 June 2026.
“At a time when many Nigerians are dealing with the painful effects of insecurity and uncertainty, we believe it is important to stand in solidarity with affected families and prioritise the safety of our audience and supporters,” the statement read.
The organisers assured fans that a new date for the event would be announced soon through the official AY Live platforms.
They also thanked supporters for their understanding and continued support, reaffirming the show’s slogan, “Against All Odds.”
