The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed all party members to remain in their various constituencies and local government areas ahead of the party’s primary elections scheduled to begin on Friday, May 15, 2026.
In a press release dated May 13, 2026, and signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Chibike Ikenga, the party said members are expected to participate fully in the primaries in line with the revised timetable earlier released by the APC.
The statement also warned members against gathering at the APC State Secretariat at Port Harcourt–Aba Expressway, Port Harcourt, except for authorised persons.
The party further cautioned that failure to comply strictly with the directive would attract disciplinary actions.
The APC thanked members for their understanding and cooperation as preparations continue for the primary elections across the state.
