Prominent activist, Aisha Yesufu has resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
She also announced her intention to contest for the Federal Capital Territory senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
Yesufu made this known in a statement shared on her X handle on Wednesday, explaining that her decision was driven by what she described as a deeper understanding of the nation’s future and her alignment with the political vision of former presidential candidate Peter Obi.
According to her, the coming days will be critical in shaping Nigeria’s direction, stressing that her move to the NDC reflects her commitment to a leadership path she believes represents the country’s hopes and aspirations.
