The police have detained officers allegedly involved in the shooting of a young man at Agip Junction, along Ada-George Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The incident reportedly resulted in the death of three other persons.
The disclosure was made by a senior police officer on Friday when protesting youths stormed the Agip Police Division, demanding answers over the shooting.
Addressing the protesters, the female officer, flanked by other policemen, appealed for calm, saying the officers allegedly involved had been detained and were not at the station.
The protesters, who displayed placards, demanded the prosecution of all persons found culpable and justice for the victims.
The Rivers State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the incident as of press time.
