Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, says his administration has broken the over 20-year cycle of political promises without delivery to the people of Bonny.
Fubara stated this on Friday while commissioning the rehabilitated Bonny National Grammar School in Bonny Local Government Area as part of the state’s ongoing project commissioning exercise.
He said unlike previous administrations that visited Bonny mainly during election campaigns to make promises, his government had returned to commission a completed project.
The governor described the rehabilitation of the school, established in 1965, as significant to the educational development of Bonny.
He also announced scholarships and full educational support for Rivers students who excelled at the President Tinubu Inter-Senior Secondary Schools Debate Championship.
Fubara commended the people of Bonny for their support and assured them of more development projects in the community.
