The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has commenced a reconciliation exercise aimed at ensuring the refund and settlement of students’ fees paid through the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
The university management, under the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Okechuku Onuchuku, said 92 per cent of the refunds and fee settlements had already been completed.
In a statement signed by the Registrar, Dr C.A. Ajie, on Friday, students with pending NELFUND-related issues were directed to appear before the Management, Bursary and ICTC for immediate resolution and refund where applicable.
The exercise, scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, at 12 noon, will hold at the Postgraduate Hall of the PG School Building and covers the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions.
Students attending the exercise are required to come with their bank statements and active account numbers linked to their NELFUND applications.
The university urged affected students to cooperate with the exercise to facilitate the complete resolution of outstanding issues.
