Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that peace has returned to the state, announcing his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Rainbow Coalition, and its governorship candidate, O.K. Chinda.
Speaking during the official flag-off of the Rivers Medical Industries Limited (RIVMED) pharmaceutical project, Fubara said he had reconciled with his political family and urged his supporters to align with the coalition.
“We have made peace in Rivers State. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our President, and he is the one we are supporting. O.K Chinda is the governorship candidate that I am supporting, and anybody who believes in me will support him,” the governor said.
He stressed that there was no reason for political uncertainty, insisting that he had fully returned to his political family.
“I am already in the family. I’ve gone back to our family. Please, wherever you are, give your total support to that coalition. We need to move forward,” he said.
Fubara declared that the era of political conflict in Rivers State had ended, describing peace as the pathway to greater development.
“The time of war is over. It’s time for peace, and this peace is taking us to another level. What you lose here, you gain in another place. That is about life. I am not party to anything that will bring any form of disunity in this state. I’ve done what I need to do. For now, we are moving forward,” he said.
Fubara thanked those who attended the event and assured residents that work on the pharmaceutical project would be closely monitored.
