A woman identified as Mrs Dole Enoch reportedly slumped and died on Sunday, after officers of the Octopus Strike Force Unit of the Rivers State Police Command, allegedly shot sporadically in the air in her neighborhood.
Kelvin Enoch, son of the deceased in a chat with journalists alleged that his hypertensive mother slumped during the shooting by Police officers at Okwelle Waterfront in Mile 11 Diobu Port Harcourt.
He said his 60-year-old deceased mum could not respond to emergency medication despite numerous attempts after the incident.
He called for full Investigation into the matter by the Police hierarchy, adding that the incident has been reported to the Azikiwe Divisional Police Headquarters in Mile 2, Diobu.
Residents of the area who spoke to our correspondents said the shooting caused panic and tension in the area, as so many persons scampered for safety.
