The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has alleged that presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar is holding meetings with Governors of the All Progressives Congress, ahead of next year’s election.
The governor, disclosed this during the commissioning of the Eneka Igbo-Etche Road Today, immediately after his arrival with four other governors from London.
This was while reacting to claims that he held a meeting with presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London, and has agreed to support him.
Wike, who denied the reports accused media houses of spreading unconfirmed reports, stating that he does not shy away from making his decisions known.
He accused those behind the report to desist from the act, and advised politicians to play by the rules.
The Rivers State Governor had travelled with four other governors to London to decide on the presidential candidate they would support in next year’s election.
He had in a statement said he will make his presidential candidate known in January 2023.
