The People’s Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, has alleged that the state government plans to revoke the Certificate of Occupancy of its campaign office in GRA, Port Harcourt.
Spokesperson of the council, Leleonu Nwibubasa made this known in Port Harcourt on Monday.
According to him, the state governor plans to revoke the C of O on Wednesday, noting that it was unfortunate that the document has been reduced to a mere tissue paper due to politics.
Leleonu Nwibubasa said financial institutions will avoid doing business with Rivers people willing to use their C of O for collateral for fear of it been revoked at any time by the governor.
The PDP PCC in the state is having a running battle with the state governor who is not in support of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that the campaign office was allegedly sealed by the state government. However, there has been no official statement on the matter from the government.
