A Port Harcourt resident identified as “Hard Fact” on Facebook has reacted to the 11th and 12th flyovers about to be awarded by the Rivers State Government.
Gov. Wike had during an inspection of ongoing projects in Port Harcourt yesterday, said his administration would award its 11th and 12th flyovers.
However, Hard Facts in a post yesterday, said Rumuokwuta junction in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, does not need a flyover.
He said the road leading from Obiri Ikwerre to NTA, and that of Benwosley should be properly opened to ease traffic.
According to him, the Governor is building flyovers not because he loves Rivers people but, because it has become an avenue for him to steal public fund.
“Wike must stop stealing the state funds in the name of building flyovers. We don’t need more flyovers in Obio/Akpor. Rumuokwuta and location do not need any flyovers.Solution: the road leading from Obri Ikwere to NTA, should be opened to connect to Iwofe areas and the Benwosley road must be properly opened too with opening up of other adjoining roads around those areas,” he said.
“Conclusion, the building of flyovers is not majorly because the governor loves us but just that it has became the conduit via which our common wealth can be syphoned without accounts. #Stoptheopenlootingofourcommonwealth,” he added.
