Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has described the emergence of Kingsley Chinda as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Rivers State as a reflection of his political experience and influence.
Wike made the remarks on Monday while inspecting ongoing projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The minister said he was not surprised by Chinda’s emergence, noting that the lawmaker’s political track record and experience made him a strong choice for the ruling party.
“A good product markets itself. Everybody knows that Kingsley Chinda is the material. He’s quite experienced. He has worked with the executive and now in the legislature — you can hear his voice when he was a minority leader of the PDP. I’m sure that he must have been approached by the ruling All Progressives Congress to join them and then get the ticket,” Wike stated.
Chinda, who previously served as Minority Leader in the House of Representatives under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has remained a prominent political figure in Rivers State politics.
