Presidential hopeful, Peter Obi says Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike granted his request to meet with stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party in the state.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting yesterday, Obi said the governor directed party faithfuls to receive him.
Obi, was in the state in continuation of his nationwide consultations ahead of the presidential primaries of the main opposition party.
Chairman of the party in the state, Desmond Akawor, had also revealed that the state governor directed them to receive and welcome Obi.
Obi and Wike are two of the top contenders vying for the presidential ticket of the party.
