Rivers State Governor, Barr, Nyesom Wike has revealed that he escaped an assassination attempt in 2007, after his appointment as Chief of Staff to Government House.
The presidential hopeful on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, disclosed during a live TV interview on Monday.
Wike, stated that it has never been easy for him, noting that his quest to occupy Aso Rock, would not be easy as well.
According to him, the nation is in dire need of a fearless and courageous leader who has the capacity to transform her, adding that he is most qualified for the job.
He called on party delegates to make him the party’s flagbearer, so as to defeat the All Progressives Congress in 2023.
The Ikwerre born politician had in a statement urged the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu to make him the party’s presidential candidate as payback since he fought the former national chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, for their sake.
