Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has awarded the sum of ten million naira to veteran Ikwerre highlife musician ‘Tufiakwa.’
This was for his excellentl musical performance during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of internal roads in Mgbuitanwo in Emouha local government area on Monday.
According to sources, Wike who could not hold back his excitement danced to the evergreen tunes of the legendary singer alongside the chiefs and people of the community.
After the musical display, the governor announced the gift of ten million naira to the singer to the excitement of all present at the event.
The Singer, in his remarks thanked the Governor for the kind gesture and also for his numerous projects across the state.
