Rivers State recorded 5 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,323 with 7180 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Monday.
Nigeria recorded 65 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 44, Yobe-10, Rivers-5, Oyo-4 and Kano-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,532 with 163,984 recovered patients, and 2,119 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
