Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, in the South South region, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere has raised an alarm over what he termed Gov. Nyesom Wike’s frequent invitation of members of the party to commission projects in Rivers State.
Dr. Blessing in a statement on Tuesday, said the act is doing the party no good ahead of next year’s general elections.
He warned members of the party to stop romancing the Rivers State Governor, before it is too late.
He also urged the National leadership of the party to call members to order, adding that if Wike wants to join the party he must come in through the front door.
“While there is nothing wrong with inviting a highly placed personality to inaugurate unfinished projects, everything is wrong if such uncompleted projects are being used as campaign stunts ahead crucial national elections at hand,” he added.
“By identifying with an opposition party at this time, such leaders are indirectly de-marketing our great party especially in a state controlled by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party,” he said.
