Three suspects have been arrested with vehicles containing illegally refined products and a wooden boat by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
NSCDC Commandant in the state, Michael Ogar said the suspects loaded the products in sack bags and arranged them in a wooden boat.
He disclosed this while the suspects were being paraded at the Ogbogoro jetty in Rivers State at the weekend.
According to him, the products were carefully arranged in the wooden boat such that one would assume it is a passenger boat.
“The products were carefully arranged in the wooden boat such that a layman would assume it as a passenger boat but based on sustained intelligence the suspects: William Chen, 29, ‘m’ and Emmanuel Uriah, 27, ‘m’ were tactically double-crossed and arrested by our marine team along Isaka creek off the new Calabar River axis in Rivers State,” he said.
