A former Rivers Federal Lawmaker, Sen. Dawari Pepple has reacted to reports making the rounds that he sent thugs to assault a 71-year-old man, identified as Eleazer Pepple in Opobo/Nkoro LGA.
A 71-year-old man yesterday accused the Senator, who is a compound Chief of sending thugs to assault him after he broke the padlock of a toilet in compound and used it.
He said, he was prevented from using the toilet for not participating in the affairs of the family.
He claimed that they also forced him to take an oath, so as not to revenge after he paid five bottles of dry gin.
The man alleged that his house and wife’s shop were damaged by the thugs.
He called for justice to be served in the matter as he demanded for compensation.
However, the Senator, when contacted said he was not aware of the incident.
