Popular social media critic and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to the trending AI-generated audio allegedly linked to him, attacking presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga and accusing the Federal Government of neglecting the country’s worsening insecurity situation.
The reaction followed the Presidency’s declaration on Wednesday that it would prosecute VDM for allegedly circulating a fake audio clip of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In the viral clip, a voice resembling President Tinubu allegedly claimed that insecurity in Nigeria would persist because Nigerians failed to vote for him during the 2023 presidential election.
Responding in a video shared on his social media page, VeryDarkMan distanced himself from the controversial AI-generated recording and lashed out at Onanuga, describing him as “stupid” and “daft.”
The activist also criticised the Presidency for allegedly remaining silent over the recent abduction of teachers and students in Oyo State. He further alleged that one of the kidnapped teachers had been beheaded while others were still being held captive despite the incident occurring on Children’s Day.
“President spokesman Bayo, you are a very stupid old man. I’m not trying to insult you, but look at the meaning of stupid. That’s what you represent,” he said.
VDM further stated that the people working under President Tinubu lacked proper judgment, insisting this was why he did not support the President returning to office in 2027.
