The University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH, has reacted to claims that it ordered mothers and their babies out of their hospital.
There were reports that patients in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) were ordered to leave the hospital because their generating set was bad.
However, the hospital in a statement on Tuesday debunked the claim, describing it as false.
It said no such thing happened at the hospital despite challenges of inadequate power supply and urged members of the public to ignore the report.
