The University of Port Harcourt has approved a special two-year amnesty for students admitted between the 2010/2011 and 2018/2019 academic sessions who were unable to complete their programmes within the stipulated period.
The approval provides an opportunity for affected students to return to the institution, regularize their academic status, and complete their studies successfully.
According to spokesperson of the University, Sammy Kpenu eligible students are required to submit formal applications addressed to the Vice Chancellor through their respective Heads of Department for review and consideration.
The amnesty is also expected to benefit students who discontinued their programmes due to overstaying or other academic challenges, giving them another chance to complete their academic pursuits.
The university fixed May 31, 2026, as the deadline for submission of applications.
