The Nigerian Army has arrested a 25-year-old man suspected of supplying logistics and intelligence to Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
The suspect, Mohammed Bulama, who hails from Mafa Local Government Area, was apprehended by troops of the 7 Division Provost Group during an intelligence-driven surveillance operation within the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
According to military sources, Bulama was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. on June 1 in the Ngawom area of Muna Garage following sustained monitoring by security operatives.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly provided logistical support and passed sensitive information to members of the terrorist group. Authorities say further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of his involvement and identify possible accomplices.
