A Stakeholder have accused the Rivers State Universal Basic Education of collecting the sum of N1500 from students as running fee.
The lady in a post on Facebook, said despite recieving huge sums from parents in the guise of school uniforms, they still go ahead to collect the said amount from them.
The concerned stakeholder called on the state government to expedite actions in curtailing the menace so the poor might be able to afford the free education.
Her statement reads,
“is the Rivers State Government aware that Despite recieving huge sums of amount from parents in the guise of school uniforms, the Authorities of Rivers UBE have approved 1500 naira as running fee per child in public schools.”
“If Government doesn’t expedite actions in curtailing the excesses kf these schools heads, the poor might not be able to afford the FREE Education,” she added.
