Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organization, Enefaa Georgewill has said that visiting and destroying kpofire camps alone will not bring an end to soot in Rivers State.
Georgewill, in a statement today, said if the problems that made illegal oil refining lucrative are not addressed, then the menace would go on.
He stated that he sees no plan on the path of government to end the crises, adding that time will tell.
“Visiting & Destroying Kpofire Camps Without A Plan To Fix The Problem That Made Such Risky Business Lucrative, Won’t #StopTheSoot. I Don’t See A Plan. Time Will Tell!,” he said.
The outspoken activist, had in a statement urged Gov. Nyesom Wike to go after sponsors of kpofire and not just the workers.
