Rivers State has recorded six new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total of confirmed cases in the state to 13, with 2 discharged and no deaths. The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter page yesterday.
The NCDC further announced 204 new cases of the virus across 18 states yesterday. This brings the total of confirmed cases in the country to 1932, with 319 discharged and 58 deaths recorded so far.
According to the commission, the number of new cases recorded yesterday, is the highest daily figure of the virus, since its outbreak in the country
Meanwhile, an update on the fight against the COVID-19 in the state, is expected from Governor Nyesom Wike today.
