Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has announced that seven out of eight Nigerians arrested in Egypt for embarking on the #EndSARS protests in the country will be deported for not having a residence permit.
The suspects were arrested few days ago for protesting in the country without a permit.
After the arrest, the Egyptian authorities found out that seven of them had no residence permit.
Chairperson of the Commission, Abike Dabiri disclosed this in a series of tweets yesterday.
She said the Nigerian mission in Egypt is still inter-facing with the Egyptian authorities to stop the deportation.
