The Rivers State Government has urged health workers in the state to extend their services to the rural areas in the state.
Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Tammy Danagogo made this known when the leadership of the state Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) paid him a courtesy visit at Government House Port Harcourt.
He said most health workers in the state practice in the urban areas even though their services are mostly needed in the rural areas.
The NMA had visited him to request the domestication of the medical residency act.
