The Rivers State Police Command has denied claims by the Atiku campaign council in the state that its members were arrested by the Police while going for a meeting in GRA at the weekend.
Spokesperson of the Command, Grace Koko in a statement said the arrest was purely a criminal matter and has no political undertone.
She said they have been carrying out raids in criminal hideouts in Port Harcourt, because of incidents of cult clashes recorded in recent time.
Meanwhile, the arrested persons were Today arraigned before a magistrate court in Port Harcourt, for alleged cultism.
