The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, has dismissed reports of the sealing of its office in Port Harcourt.
Commissioner in charge of Civic Education, Tamunotonye Tobins in a statement on Tuesday, described the report as false.
According to him, the Police sighted at the commission’s office are only there to ensure the security of lives and property, and not to seal the office.
He stated that the Oct. 5th Local Government Elections would hold on as planned.
