One of the organizers of the #FearlessInOctober protest, Deji Adeyanju has alleged that protesters were this morning attacked in Rivers State and the FCT.
Deji made the allegation in a series of posts on his official X handle this morning.
“They are attacking and arresting protesters in Port Harcourt.”
“The unprovoked attack against peaceful protesters in Abuja is an assault on our constitutional democracy,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, sources say suspected cane wielding thugs have taken over the protest ground in front of the Federal Secretariat along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.
The thugs are opposed to the protest and threatened to beat up anyone caught filming them.
