The Rivers State Government has said that distribution of learning materials to public schools in the state will be done on Thursday, January 12 2023.
The state Commissioner for Education Hon. Chinedu Mmom made this known in a statement in Port Harcourt, while monitoring resumption of schools.
Mmom, cautioned teachers against extorting students for learning materials as government will provide all that is needed.
He noted that the current administration will continue to ensure that students are given the best form of education in public schools.
He expressed satisfaction with the turnout of students as schools resumed academic activities in the state.
