President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has reiterated legislative and political backing for the creation of Anioma State, stating that the proposed state will have as its capital.
Akpabio made the disclosure on Wednesday while addressing party members at the South-South zonal congress of the (APC) held in Asaba, .
The Senate President noted that the administration of remains committed to the creation of Anioma State, emphasizing ongoing support at both legislative and executive levels.
He further explained that would serve as the capital of the restructured Delta State if Anioma is successfully carved out.
Akpabio’s remarks signal renewed momentum for the long-standing demand for Anioma State creation in the South-South region.
