The Rivers State Government has approved the promotion, upgrading and conversion of qualified academic and non-academic staff of the Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Board (RSSSSB), with the exercise scheduled to commence later this month.

According to a circular dated June 15, 2026, the promotion exercise follows the approval granted by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, for the promotion of civil servants across all levels in the state.

The document, stated that the exercise covers staff due for promotion between January 2025 and July 2026 and will include interviews for promotion, upgrading and conversion of qualified personnel.

The Board disclosed that the promotion interviews will be held from June 22 to June 24, 2026, at designated centres as outlined in the attached schedule.

All academic and non-academic staff of the Board have been directed to attend the interview on their scheduled dates. Participants are required to present the originals and photocopies of relevant documents, including their letter of first appointment, confirmation or formalization of appointment letter, conversion letter where applicable, and higher academic certificates.
