Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State has called on the people of the state to join hands with his administration to build a stable and vibrant economy. He said irrespective of party affiliation, they should unite in moving the state forward.
The governor made the call in a state-wide broadcast in Port Harcourt today, to mark fifth year in office today. He said it is possible for people to resolve to downplay their individual differences and work together for the common good of our heritage, our lovely state, our communities and our people.
He noted that his government, welcomes constructive criticisms devoid of politics and mischief, because they serve to make them better performers.
The governor pointed out that within the last year, his administration has embarked on urban renewal programmes in the state capital and the construction of the multi-billion naira flyover projects at Rebisi, Okoro-nu-Odu and Rumuogba. He furthermore, outlined some of the achievements recorded by his administration while promising more projects in the state.
