Veteran sports Journalist, Sammy Wejinya is set to launch a campaign in a bid to fill up the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium on October 9 2022 when Rivers United plays its first leg CAF Champions League match against Wydad Athletic Club of Casablanca, Morocco.
Sammy, in a statement described the two-legged tie as the most important two games of the club’s history,
Accordng to him, he will be working with 100 volunteers to fill up the stadium, and urged interested persons to join his WhatsApp group with the link below.

The opponents of Rivers United that day are the African champions, Wydad Athletic Club of Casablanca, Morocco
