As at today, only one depot out of the 19 in Rivers State is selling to Marketers.
Just one out of 45 depots is selling at Lagos.
The truth is that, there is no product anywhere. Forget about the availability of billions of liters you hear on radio.
The problem is the huge financial burden of subsidy payment.
Landing cost for importing fuel from the international market is over #500 as at today.
It is obvious that the Port Harcourt refinery will commence operations by first quarter of 2023, until then, the scarcity will continue.
When the Port Harcourt refinery starts, Nigerians will buy fuel below #100 per liter.
For pains we’re currently facing, please don’t blame Marketers, blame the Federal Government for It’s inability to fix the state owned refineries.
