The Rivers State Ministry of Education has lifted the suspension placed on Wisdom Gate International School, Campus 1, located in Eligbolo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, after confirming that the institution has complied with the state’s safety requirements.
The announcement was contained in a press release signed by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Peters Nwagor, on Thursday.
According to the ministry, the decision followed a thorough investigation, which confirmed that the school had met the required safety standards and upgraded its facilities in line with directives issued by the ministry.
With the suspension lifted, the school has been granted approval to resume academic activities immediately.
However, the ministry directed the management of the school to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and take necessary measures to prevent a recurrence of the incident that led to its suspension.
The Ministry of Education reiterated its commitment to maintaining safety standards across all public and private schools in Rivers State, stressing that the welfare and security of learners remain a top priority.
