The Rivers State Police Command says there will be restriction of movement, during Saturday’s local government election.
The State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday made this known during a meeting with political parties and their candidates in Port Harcourt, on Wednesday.
He said only those on essential duties will be allowed to move around with vehicles.
The CP, advised electorates to trek to their polling units, cast their votes and go back home.
He urged residents of the state to desist from crime and criminality, as anyone caught, will be dealt with, in accordance with the laws of the land.
The Police boss assured residents, of adequate security before, during and after the election.
