The Rivers State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, has described its just concluded primaries for the forthcoming local government elections as peaceful and the first of its kind in the state.
State Chairman of the party, Desmond Akawor disclosed this in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt yesterday.
He stated that those complaining of the date the party conducted its primaries, are simply scared of going to the poll, with the PDP.
He said primaries are conducted with the approval of the electoral body, and that they wrote to RSIEC and got an approval for their primaries to be shifted.
Akawor noted that the election will go on successfully as the party win all the seats available.
