The Rivers State Government has advised supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to be vigilant ahead of the April 17 Local Government Election in the State.
Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike, Emeka Woke said this during the grand finale of the party’s campaign rally in Emohua local government area on Wednesday.
He said supporters of the party must cast and secure their votes, so as to ensure they emerge victorious.
Woke stated that throughout the period granted to political parties by the State electoral umpire to campaign, only the PDP went round the nooks and crannies of the state to canvass for votes.
“…Don’t rest on our oars to say nobody is contesting with us. Don’t go and sleep. Be on your guard on Saturday and ensure the PDP candidates emerge victorious,” he said.
“I advice the candidates to keep to his campaign promise. Follow the campaign slogan’ let’s make EMOLGA great again’. As experienced politician, unite the people of Emohua. Resist any temptation that would divide the leadership of Emohua Local Government,” he added
