The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, says it is planning another round of protests against the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, for over billing electricity consumers, despite epileptic power supply.
Chairman of RIVCSO in the state, Enefaa Georgewill disclosed this in a statement on his social media handle, on Friday.
He said the protest will take place on the 5th of May 2021 as he called on concerned residents to get ready.
Enefaa also stated that they were invited by the State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday before yesterday’s protest, in a bid to stop them from going ahead with the peaceful walk.
“We Are Planning The Mother Of All Protest To PHED On The 5th Of May,2021. Be Prepared!,” he said.
RIVCSO alongside some aggrieved electricity consumers, yesterday, carried out a peaceful protest to express their displeasure over alleged over billing by the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED).
