Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tonye Cole has revealed why he is running to be Governor of the state.

Cole, in a statement Today, said he is running to change the narrative about politics in Nigeria for the youths, as many of them believe politics is dirty and political parties are evil.

According to him, with good governance people will realize that it is people that are evil and not politics or political parties.

His statement reads,

One of the major reasons I am running for Governor in Rivers State is to change the narrative about politics in Nigeria for the youths.

Today, many of them believe politics is dirty, parties are evil, and they believe they must stay away.

But it’s not by talking, I believe we have to show them, and when they have a taste of good governance, they’ll realize that it’s people who are dirty or evil, not politics or political parties.
