The remains of 22-year-old Anthony Enruchi Obodo, who was allegedly killed by police operatives in Port Harcourt, have been laid to rest in his hometown in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Obodo reportedly died on August 27, 2026, following an incident involving police operatives along Ada-George Road in Port Harcourt.
Family members, friends and sympathisers gathered for the burial ceremony to pay their final respects and honour his memory.
His relatives described him as a peaceful and promising young man whose life was abruptly cut short at a time when he was building his future.
The burial comes as the family continues to seek justice and clarification over the circumstances surrounding his death.
