The Rivers State House of Assembly has moved to address the persistent flooding affecting parts of the state, with lawmakers inspecting flood-ravaged areas in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas.
The lawmakers led by Speaker of the House, Hon. Martins Amaewhule visited some of the worst-hit areas to assess the situation on the ground and engage with residents affected by the flooding.
The inspection is aimed at assessing the extent of the flooding and identifying possible measures to address the challenges confronting affected communities.
