The attention of the Congressionally elected Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has been drawn to an announcement published by strange fellows using the name of APC in Rivers State purporting to invite our members to a Thanksgiving Service and Stakeholders meeting on Sunday 17th December 2023.
Let it be known that APC in Rivers State has no affinity or alliance with the FCT Minister, H.E Nyesom Wike, who is the sponsor of the so-called thanksgiving or stakeholders meeting.
We consider it an abomination that a few selfish politicians within our ranks have chosen to destroy the progressive ideals of the APC.
We wish to ask these greedy politicians if they want to have Thanksgiving for spilling the blood of over 100 APC diehards in 2015 or for sabotaging our party during the last elections, or conniving with the FCT Minister and national secretariat of APC to withdraw the cases filed by all our House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship candidates in court? Or are they mocking our members who were injured, lost properties or even killed because of elections in Rivers State?
Let it be known to our party faithful across the 319 wards in Rivers State, that the State APC under the leadership of His Excellency Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi CON is not and cannot be part of those who want to mock the Almighty God this way on December 17, 2023, the month dedicated to the birth of the Saviour.
